35mm lens adapters cost thousands to buy, hundreds to build, degrade the objective technical quality of your video and make your camcorder an entire magnitude more difficult to use. And they won’t make your video magically look like film. Nothing will. On the other hand, by adding selective focusing options to small consumer camcorders, 35mm lens adapters have the potential to produce some absolutely gorgeous images. Do you need one? No. Do you want one? I know I do! - videopia.org

Top #1 Canon DC410 DVD Camcorder + Lenses & Filters + 8GBOverall Rating (8/10)![]() |

| Review by JOS (Arlington, VA USA) 2010-05-06 The adapter for one of the filters didn't work; needed to use the adapter from another filter - less convenient. The 10 disks provided were "R's" vice "RW's" as recommended by the camera's manufacturer's instructions. The camera is fine, but a little disappointed with the kit. Attention to detail makes all the difference.... Read more Canon DC410 DVD reviews | ||

Top #2 Canon DC410 DVD Camcorder with 41x Optical ZoomOverall Rating (6/10)![]() |

| Review by Douglas Wend (NC) 2009-12-06 Before buying a camcorder (1st camcorder purchase in 17 years) I checked Consumer Reports which listed this model as a Best Buy. Because of the multitude of choices out there, I leaned on them for guidance. But as usual it comes down to Sony and Canon slugging it out with JVC a distand third. For me, quality of results, affordability, ease of use a... Read more Canon DC410 DVD reviews | ||

Top #4 Canon DC10 1.3 MP DVD Camcorder w/10x Optical ZoomOverall Rating (6/10)![]() |
|
| Review by C. McDowell (USA) 2007-04-07 My title says it all. I've lost footage several times, corrupt discs all the time. The worst part is, it makes you think you're recording, and then you go to play it back, and it's not there. This is a certified piece of junk. Mine may just be a lemon based on other reviewers, but why take the risk when it comes to recording fun memories?... Read more Canon DC10 1.3 reviews | ||

Top #5 Canon DC210 DVD Camcorder with 35x Optical ZoomOverall Rating (6/10)![]() |

| Review by P. Dreger (Wisconsin) 2009-08-18 We have this camera at our work site. It takes fairly good pictures/video. The biggest complaint I have is the same as others here: Finalizing a disc is very unclear, and the format used in VR mode is not very user friendly. However, thanks to the interwebs, I will tell you how to do these; seeing as Canon can't. To finalize a DV... Read more Canon DC210 DVD reviews | ||

| Review by M. Kurapati (Fallschurch, VA United States) 2008-04-24 I got this at a cheaper price, but the quality is worth the price. It has features, that most other camcoders doesn't have. It uses a codec format, that stores HD media on non-HD media (like DVDs). Very Nice.... Read more Canon HR10 AVCHD reviews | ||
