We bought the camera at the last minute for a trip to Alaska. Didn't have any time to read the book other than to see how to charge the battery. Without a lot of trouble we were able to operate the camera and most, or some, of it's functions on the fly. It worked perfect. Great zoom.

You will not hear 12 years old, said directors at the Academy Awards - yet. But given some time for these talented students, it might just great.

Hundreds of 7-17 year olds asked to develop their talents in a one-week course at the film id Tech Camps in Georgia, a summer camp on the campus of Emory University in recent summers. By the end of the week, each student team creates inspiring movies with special effects using advanced technology, including lighting and KitsGreen Screens from Photoflex ®, Canon ® camcorder, Apple Final Cut Pro ® editing software and Adobe After Effects Special Effects ® software.

The 10 disks provided were "R's" vice "RW's" as recommended by the camera's manufacturer's instructions. The camera is fine, but a little disappointed with the kit.
